Bereavement Visiting Group

St. Andrew’s offers a Visiting Service to support people who are bereaved. Visitors have been trained to listen to the bereaved and to respond appropriately. At present the group is affiliated to the Harrow Bereavement Visiting Scheme.

Each year in November, St Andrew’s runs an All Souls Memorial Service. The service incorporates poetry and appropriate readings to create a quiet and reflective atmosphere. A key feature is the reading and remembering of the names of the departed. All Souls

At Christmas time we create a Lights of Life Tree.  People who have lost loved ones write their name on a small card and attach it to the branches. Christmas can be a very difficult time of the year and this simple act gives great comfort to those who have been bereaved – recently or a long time ago.
