Interregnum

The church, after its last vicar left in late September 2011, is in an interregnum period. Until a new vicar is appointed the business of the church will be run by the wardens and their team of helpers.

Many vicars and priests from local churches have already started officiating at services as guest priests. Near normal business is expected to be conducted.

Our Parish Profile has been prepared as part of the process of appointing a new Vicar. It describes our Parish, its mission and activities, and the personal attributes of the priest we are seeking to appoint.  Click here to read (or download) the Parish Profile.

PARISH REPRESENTATIVES

Keith Nicholls and Diane Bidder have been appointed by the PCC as our representatives to the Bishop in the search for a new incumbent.  They will represent St. Andrew’s on the interviewing panel in February.

QUEEN ELIZABETH’S DIAMOND JUBILEE

The PCC has agreed that a commemorative rose bed be established along part of the Malvern Avenue frontage to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee next year.  It will be planted with Queen Elizabeth roses.  Donations will shortly be invited to meet the cost of preparing the rose bed, buying the roses, and subsequent maintenance.  Please have a word if you have any questions!  Robert Crowhurst (Tel: 020 8422 4593)
